Valkyries Girls

Langtoft United Valkyries Girls Football is newly formed in 2020. Based in Langtoft near Peterborough, South Lincolnshire the Girls are a part of Langtoft United and is affiliated with Lincolnshire Football Association. Valkyries Girls are committed to 'Growing The Girls Game' and we want to make football more accessible to every female regardless of age, ability, race and sexual orientation.

Our main priority is the development of our players and coaches and bringing in more female coaches as role models to the girls. Under our 'Growing The Girls Game' banner, we want to raise the profile of Female Grassroots Football and tempt more female footballers to take up the sport.

Langtoft United Valkyries Girls have just been awarded an FA Wildcats Centre which will introduce Girls into football in the foundation phase and will give the girls a clear pathway into wearing the Red and Yellow of the Valkyries Girls.

FA RESPECT

Creating the right environments for our players, both on and off the pitch is so important. Even though your role could be slightly different from someone else within your club or league, it’s important that we all play our part in creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

The Respect codes of conduct are in place to ensure that everyone involved within an FA Charter Standard club or league is playing their part to give the players a positive experience.

Safeguarding

As football’s governing body in England, safeguarding is a fundamental aspect of The FA’s role – and that of its affiliated members.

Collectively we have an ongoing duty to ensure the game is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for the millions of children, young people and adults who regularly play, watch, coach, referee and volunteer.

Our united approach to safeguard across the game is driven by a clear three-part strategy:

  • Implementing preventative safeguarding measures (such as safer recruitment) to create fun, safe football environments;

  • Making the reporting of concerns as easy as possible;

  • Ensuring safeguarding, child protection and adult at risk concerns are investigated swiftly and thoroughly in conjunction with statutory agencies – and with demonstrable outcomes.

Safeguarding in Football is Everybody's responsibility
